Nissan has recently unveiled a unique project in Europe called the Nissan Townstar Karaok-e. This modified version of the Townstar Evalia minivan is designed to transform the vehicle into a mobile karaoke lounge. The idea is to make the journey itself an enjoyable and entertaining experience, rather than just a means of transportation.
The majority of the modifications in the Karaok-e are found in the rear of the van. The centerpiece is a 32-inch video monitor that displays graphics and lyrics for the karaoke sessions. Accompanying this is an exotic sound system that ensures crisp and high-quality audio. To further enhance the atmosphere, there are fancy lights on the ceiling and cabinetry, which are synchronized to the beat of the music. It’s a truly immersive experience for the passengers.
In addition to being a karaoke lounge on wheels, the Townstar Karaok-e also features a number of apps that allow passengers to showcase their vocal talents. They can record their performances and share them on various social media platforms, adding an interactive element to the experience.
While the modifications to the interior are impressive, Nissan hasn’t neglected the exterior either. The minivan flaunts a vibrant wrap that catches the eye, and it even includes a neon-like roof attachment that would have surely impressed the Queen of Disco herself, Donna Summer.
It’s worth noting that the Townstar Evalia in Europe shares close ties with the Renault Kangoo van. The Townstar Evalia is available in both fully electric and gasoline powertrain options and comes in a long wheelbase configuration with choices for five or seven seats. This flexibility caters to different customer preferences and needs.
Although Nissan has not indicated any plans for serious production of this particular variant, there may be interest from niche markets such as limo services or upfitters who could customize similar vehicles. Of course, this would depend on whether there is sufficient demand and resources from potential customers.
The Nissan Townstar Karaok-e showcases the brand’s commitment to creating unique and memorable experiences for its customers. While it may not be a mass-produced vehicle, it certainly sparks the imagination and opens up possibilities for innovative modifications in the future.
