Unlocking the Power of AI: HP Introduces New OmniBook Ultra Laptop and OmniStudio All-in-One Desktops

HP is making significant strides in the field of AI with the unveiling of its latest AI PC, the HP OmniBook Ultra laptop, as well as two new Omni all-in-one desktop models. The new laptop is equipped with Advanced Micro Devices’ AI 300 Series processors and an AMD Ryzen AI GPU, along with AMD Radeon graphics. This demonstrates HP’s commitment to bringing transformative AI experiences to companies and individuals across its PCs, software, and partner ecosystem.

With these new releases, HP aims to empower a wide range of users, including corporate knowledge workers, freelancers, students, healthcare professionals, and retail workers, by unlocking the power of AI. The HP OmniBook Ultra laptop offers features such as real-time translation to 40 languages, a personal communication coach for improved presentations, and the ability to create professional-quality videos quickly.

According to Alex Cho, president of Personal Systems at HP, AI is set to be the most significant driver of change in the next decade. The company’s solutions, including the HP AI creation center and the new AI PCs like the HP OmniBook Ultra, are designed to make AI accessible and practical for companies.

HP recognizes that there is a pressing need for better AI tools and solutions. Currently, only 33% of data scientists are satisfied with their current AI tools, and 81% lack confidence in their company’s ability to deploy those tools quickly. To address this issue, HP has announced new capabilities for its Z by HP AI Studio, enabling faster and safer deployment of AI-powered applications. The integration of Galileo into Z by HP AI Studio allows data scientists and AI creators to detect and correct for hallucinations, drift, and bias in their models. This makes HP the only manufacturer to develop an AI platform for workstations with built-in generative AI trust.

The HP OmniBook Ultra laptop serves as a toolbox for those at the forefront of the AI revolution. It offers faster workloads, customizable models, and enhanced privacy features, all locally on the device. The laptop is co-engineered with AMD and utilizes the powerful NPU of the AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processor, achieving a performance of 55 TOPS. It also boasts a battery life of up to 21 hours and features collaboration tools like an AI-enabled high-resolution camera and Windows Studio Effects. Additionally, the laptop incorporates Wolf Security for protection against cyberattacks.

HP’s OmniStudio X All-in-One desktops also bring AI capabilities to the desktop. These devices are designed for consumers who require both creation and entertainment features. The OmniStudio X uses the Intel Core Ultra 7 processors and optional Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU to optimize intensive workflows such as photo and video editing. The desktops offer customization options with a height-adjustable stand and USB Type-C with DP-in/out for versatile connectivity. AI-powered wellness features, including screen time reminders and presence sensing, help reduce fatigue and ensure privacy.

Furthermore, HP is collaborating with software developers to enhance productivity and creativity on its AI PCs. Beautiful.ai and Polymer will enhance productivity, while Luminar Neo will accelerate creative editing. HP is also working with Omnibridge, Loccus.ai, and Virtual Sapiens to deliver seamless experiences with AI on its PCs.

The HP OmniStudio X All-in-One desktops are expected to be available in August, while the HP OmniBook Ultra laptop will be available in August for a starting price of $1,500. HP’s Z by HP AI Studio with Galileo integration will be available in the fall of 2024. These new releases demonstrate HP’s commitment to making AI accessible and practical for a wide range of users, ultimately driving innovation and productivity in various industries.
