Upgrade to X Premium+ Subscription for an Ad-Free Experience

Get Rid of Ads on Twitter with Premium+ Subscription

Twitter has announced that its Premium+ subscription tier is now “fully ad-free,” offering users the chance to get rid of ads on the platform. The Premium+ tier comes with a price tag of $20 per month or $210 per year. Along with being ad-free, this subscription also includes other benefits such as the ability to write rich-text articles and the largest reply boost for your tweets. It also offers features available in the cheaper Basic and Premium tiers, like the checkmark and early access to X’s AI assistant Grok.

This move comes after the introduction of the Premium+ tier in October 2023, which initially did not offer a complete ad-free experience. At that time, ads were only removed from the For You and Following timelines. However, with this recent announcement, Twitter claims that ads will now be completely gone. The only exception is occasional branded content that may appear in less common areas.

For users who truly despise ads and are willing to pay the price, the Premium+ tier is the one to go for. It provides a seamless ad-free experience on Twitter, allowing users to fully enjoy the platform without any interruptions.

However, for those who are not as bothered by ads, there is still the regular Premium subscription tier available for $10 per month. This tier reduces the number of ads seen in the For You and Following timelines by half. So, if you don’t mind some ads, this option offers a balance between ad reduction and cost.

It’s worth noting that Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has been vocal about his dislike for advertising. In fact, he once tweeted about his hatred for ads. Interestingly, Twitter, now known as X, recently sued advertisers for allegedly conspiring to withhold billions of dollars in advertising revenue after Musk took over the company in 2022. This shows the complicated relationship between Musk and advertising.

In conclusion, Twitter’s Premium+ subscription tier provides a solution for users who want to eliminate ads from their Twitter experience. While it comes with a higher price tag, it offers a completely ad-free environment. On the other hand, the regular Premium tier is a more affordable option for users who don’t mind some ads. Ultimately, the choice depends on individual preferences and the importance of an ad-free experience on Twitter.
