Walmart+ Week Laptop Deals: Are They Worth It?

Limited Laptop Deals at Walmart+ Week Sale

Walmart has a reputation for having questionable laptop deals, often featuring inflated prices and unreliable third-party sellers. However, during major savings events like Black Friday and Amazon Prime Day, the retailer usually offers more legitimate doorbuster deals. Surprisingly, the laptop deals in Walmart’s paywalled Walmart+ Week sale are not following this trend.

If you don’t have a paid or trial Walmart+ membership, you’re not missing out on much. The laptop deals available so far include a $100 discount on a laptop with an actual MSRP of $1,299.99 and a $50 discount on another laptop with an actual MSRP of $449.99. These offers are easily beaten by competitors. While it may still be beneficial to sign up for a Walmart+ subscription to access other perks like cash back on travel and double fuel discounts during Walmart+ Week, the member-exclusive laptop deals are not worth it if you’re looking for an upgrade.

According to colleagues, the same goes for robot vacuums and headphones. As of now, the best laptop deal at Walmart is the M1 MacBook Air priced at $699. However, this is not a deal exclusive to Walmart but rather a permanent price drop that has been available since mid-March. Best Buy briefly offered it for $50 less but quickly sold out. Despite being an older model from 2020, the M1 MacBook Air is still a great value with its long battery life and impressive build quality.

While the laptop deals at Walmart+ Week may improve as the sale progresses, it’s advisable to look for more enticing offers at other retailers and manufacturers’ websites. In the meantime, if you’re not interested in an older MacBook, we regularly round up the best laptop deals every two weeks, so keep an eye out for those.
