Prime Minister Khan has been receiving appreciation even from his bitterest critics for his noble initiative of arranging temporary tents for the people sleeping on the roadside. As the winter has approached, the temperature has lowered in upper parts of the country, including Punjab as well.
On Saturday, Prime Minister Imran Khan ordered Chief Minister Punjab, Usman Buzdar to set up tents for people sleeping on the roadside in cold weather.
PM Khan said: “I have asked CM Punjab to set up tents for people sleeping on footpaths and provide them food until the Panah Gahs (shelters) are built, as the weather is turning increasingly cold. Peshawar and Karachi spot also being located.”

The tents are temporary until the completion of shelter homes. Prime Minister Khan had laid the foundation of shelter home project on November 10 in Lahore. The project is aimed at housing a number of homeless people who usually spend nights on footpaths or other places in different areas of Lahore city.
The facility will be used for several different purposes such as conducting seminars, training and holding public awareness campaigns on important social objectives. “Should we allow our people to live on footpaths.
