An intelligence-based operation (IBO) has been started, starting on March 15, 2023, to intercept a terrorist organization that is active in the Awaran district of southern Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
It said that incidences involving shooting and improvised explosive devices had occurred along Turbat-Awaran Road and other localities.
“Based on credible information, multiple ambushes had been laid along different routes in the area frequented by the terrorists for last three days,” it added.

Three terrorists were detained as they attempted to make their way to their hiding place. They started firing on the security personnel after being blocked. All three terrorists were killed during the ensuing fierce exchange of fire, according to the military’s media wing, and a stockpile of weapons and ammo was also found.
“Pakistan Army in step with nation remains determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan,” the statement further said.
According to the military’s media wing, security forces launched an IBO in the general region of Boghra Road, Chaman, on Wednesday. As a result, they were able to locate the terrorists’ hiding place and collect a sizable cache of weapons and ammunition.
According to a statement made by the ISPR, the IBO was conducted to locate a suspected terrorist hideaway that was connected to recent shooting events in the Chaman region against law enforcement and civilians as well as the placing of improvised explosive devices nearby.
