The National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), is the highest level of the political platform, which held its meeting every five years. It is the forum to make important decisions like the change of leadership, constitution, and political guidance, development plans, addressing all important and emerging issues.
It is attended by a wide range of participants, representing all minorities, ethnic groups, provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities, scholars, intellectuals, experts, subject specialists, politicians, officials, leaders, business leaders, etc.
Understanding the matter better
Free discussion and elaboration of issues and possible solutions are discussed in a cordial manner. Consensus is built and decisions are made by the leadership. Once agreed upon, the decisions are owned by all and implemented in later and spirit.

The first-ever National Congress was held on 23–31 July 1921.
The current National Congress will be 20th and scheduled for 16-22 October 2022. Around 2300 representatives are expected to attend the Congress. It is worth mentioning that there are around 94 million members of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
The 20th Congress is being held at a critical moment when geopolitics is very tense. Ukraine war, the Taiwan issue, Middle-East situation, Iran, North Korea, etc. are hot-burning issues. The US struggling to sustain its hegemony and supremacy. The US conceives the rise of China as a threat to its Seven-Decade old hegemony and supremacy in geopolitics. The US is ganging up with its European allies to contain China, counter China, and resist the rise of China. As a matter of fact, the US is using all sorts of cold war era tactics to confront China.
Whether it is Xinjiang, Hong Kong, Taiwan, or the South China Sea, the US is meddling everywhere and does not spare any opportunity to harm China, bleed China, malign China, and coerce China.
China has been developing rapidly for the last four decades, and its GDP kept on growing at the highest in the world on a consecutively year-to-year basis. China has emerged as the second-largest economy in the world, just after the US only.

China has achieved mega achievements in the last four decades
From 88 percent poverty in the 1970s, China has successfully eradicated the curse of poverty absolutely in 2020. Today China is a moderate prosper society, with the highest purchasing power, the highest happy index, the most modern infrastructure, excellent healthcare facilities, and excellent food quality.
The way how China has fought against COVID-19 is one of the most successful models. China used all modern knowledge and technologies to tackle it. After overcoming COVID-19, China has generously assisted many friendly countries to fight COVID-19. China has emerged as one of the major countries helping other nations to control COVID-19. Chinese experience and Vaccine is much admired globally.
The Chinese contribution to the global economy is much more than any other nation. China is an agent of development for most developing nations. It has become the leader of globalization and multilateral. Good governance and suppression of corruption were key to success in China.
However, to keep the same pace of development, China might need to double its efforts and struggle hard, as the International environments are not friendly toward China. It might be an uphill task and requires much hard work.
Keeping the emerging trends in global politics, the 20th Congress may address future challenges and formulate its strategy to face expected threats and challenges.
President Xi has been proven a strong leader and gained popularity in the hearts and souls of the people of China. He has led China to emerge as a global power. He is expected to keep his role or upgrade to Chairman of the Communist Party of China in addition to President of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission of China.

It is rather too early to say about the decision of the 20th Congress precisely, but, its importance is widely recognized. Many countries and world leaders are keeping close eyes on this Congress and are making their own analyses and predictions.
Certainly, it will impact global politics, if the right decisions are made in this congress, China has the potential to reshape the world order completely.
