The remake of the 1979 cult classic The Legend of Maula Jatt is receiving rave reviews globally. The much-hyped film, rightly so, was released on October 13th after much delay.
The star-studded film is receiving appreciation and rave views from the audiences. Bilal Lashari is the director and cinematographer of the movie. The film has already won the hearts of the cinemagoers.
According to the latest reports, the film is doing brilliantly at the box office inside and outside Pakistan. The film is budgeted between Rs. 45 crores and Rs.55 crores. The film has earned Rs 9.3 crore (Rs 93 million); collecting 4.9 crores domestically and Rs 4.4 internationally.
The Legend of Maula Jatt is spectacular. Brilliantly entertaining. It’s not often a film of this scale lives up to expectations. This one exceeds them. Cinematic, theatrical – almost Shakespearean. I want to watch it again. Terrific job all round! 👏🏽🔥🎉 pic.twitter.com/v8UEeVuz76

PRODUCTION DESIGN & SETS
From the first scene itself – the production design was fantastic. From the palaces, the arena, the prison, to the village. Everything shows how hard Lashari and his team worked to get the details right. NOTHING looks out of place in any frame.

DIRECTION
Bilal Lashari deserves all the applause and accolades for this one! A film like TLOMJ is not only difficult to conceive but even tougher to shoot. Every shot of the film justifies why he takes so long to make a film.

A cinemagoer Syed Zain Raza has combined a thread on Twitter and analyses the good and bad aspects of the movie. He appreciates the performances of Hamza, Fawad, and Humaima; believes Mahira Khan could have spiced up her performances a bit more.
“Bilal Lashari deserves a pat on the back. He was the director, cinematographer, screenplay writer, and editor of this film, and this guy didn’t mess up anywhere. He surely takes his sweet time to make films, but when he does he makes sure he wins big!! Hats off,” says a Twitter user while appreciating the mega movie, The Legend of Maula Jatt.
