TikToker Nadeem Naniwala released in ‘IK-804’ number plate case

Nadeem Naniwala was arrested on Tuesday during the checking at the police checkpost on Main Boulevard for having a fake number plate.

TikToker Nadeem Naniwala was released on bail after being arrested in the fake car number plate case. The court ordered his release based on insufficient evidence against him.

The court ruled in his favor and ordered his release. He was being arrested by Punjab Police in a case related to using an illegal number plate on his vehicle. The court in its ruling noted that the statement of recovery, which would have proven the allegations, was absent from the case record.

The court ordering his release rejected the police request for his 14-day judicial remand. The police wanted to keep him in custody while the investigation was pursued, however, the magistrate rejected the plea. Defence C Police had booked him in the case of the use of an illegal number plate.

Nadeem Naniwala was arrested on Tuesday during the checking at the police checkpost on Main Boulevard for having a fake number plate. The number plate of his message is IK-804. The video of his arrest had gone viral on social media.

Some criticized police for arresting him while others slammed the TikToker for using the name of Imran Khan for clout and media attention.

Earlier, a donut shop in Islamabad was sealed by authorities following an incident involving Chief Justice of Pakistan, Qazi Faez Isa. The altercation, which took place at Crusteez Donuts in Blue Area, was captured on video and went viral on social media, drawing widespread public attention.

The video shows a Crusteez employee refusing service to Justice Isa and his family. During the encounter, the employee allegedly cursed the Chief Justice, using the word “Lanat,” a term in Urdu translating to “curse.” While some onlookers viewed the word as relatively mild, the context and manner of delivery sparked outrage.

The incident quickly gained traction on social media, with users both criticizing and praising the employee. Some lauded him for his boldness in confronting a high-profile figure, while others condemned the behavior as disrespectful and inappropriate. Memes and sarcastic comments further fueled the online frenzy, with divided opinions on the matter.
