TLP, JUI-F blasted for inaction on Palestine cause

Netizens are blasting religious parties for their lack of action against the Israeli atrocities. Famous Pakistani actor Sheheryar Munawwar also called out TLP for its absence from the scene.

Netizens blasted religious parties like Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam (JUI-F) and Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) for their apparent lackluster and spiritless reaction to the Palestine cause and ongoing massacre in Gaza, Palestine by the Israeli forces.

While, JUIF is active on social media condemning the atrocities in Gaza, they are yet to organize a massive demonstration and rally in the country in solidarity with the people of Palestine. Other religious organizations particularly TLP have been blasted on social media for inaction and insufficient response to the Palestinian crisis.

While civil society is actively engaging all the means to denounce the uncalled for Israeli aggression in Gaza and Palestine, they expect religious organizations to mobilize and take the lead on the cause.

Pakistani actor, Sheheryar Munawwar, also questioned TLP for its absence from the scene. Recently, TLP had triggered chaos across Pakistan on the issue of the sanctity of the Holy Prophet. The TLP protestors took to the streets of Pakistan and had blocked main roads, pelted stones on law enforcement agencies, and damaged the public property in the name of protest.

The entire country had plunged into severe mayhem with situation spiraling into violence causing policemen to lose their lives.

Hence, the actor irked with the absence of now banned outfit slammed them for their silence on the serious humanitarian crisis in Gaza and Palestine.

“Where is TLP now? Why are they not on the streets protesting? Demanding our government have a stronger stance on the Palestinian issue? When they were willing to burn the entire country, their own country that feeds them, Pakistan, because of the French president’s statement. I’m baffled!”,

“Why not speak up now? Why not protest now? Because sugar daddy Saudi isn’t paying for this service? Because it doesn’t fit their foreign policy agenda? Shame!”, he added.

He urged his followers to educate themselves and others on Israel-Palestine conflict and speak up on the issue.

“I have never asked you anything for myself, but today I ask you not to stay quiet. To open your minds and hearts and speak for the people of Palestine. Speak against the injustice,” he wrote.

Religious parties JI and JUI-F have called for the protests on May 21sr on Friday coinciding with the call of the government of Pakistan for countrywide demonstrations against Israel.
