So what if Toyota did not introduce a TRD version in its 2021 lineup for Corolla? We have good news for you! Toyota has just launched an alternative to that. Perhaps, the next big thing, a 2021 Toyota Corolla Apex Edition. Rest assured, this vehicle is a complete package for sporty car lovers. You’ll get a tuned suspension, chassis, and even summer tires will be available. This sporty treatment will be provided in the SE and XSE models of Corolla.
Just last year, Toyota gave a complete makeover to its Camry and Avalon models. These vehicles were equipped with big wheels, spoilers, and brakes.
Toyota Corolla 2021 Apex edition, which is sportier of the Compact sedan comes packed with a standard 169-horsepower (126 kilowatts) 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine. The Japanese multinational automotive plans to give two options in the Apex edition: buyers can either choose a continuously variable transmission or a six-speed manual.

However, Toyota intends to only roll out 120 out of 6000 vehicles it has planned for 2021, in the six-speed manual category. These manual vehicles will be based on the SE trim of the Corolla 2021. So basically, Toyota will only offer 120 versions of the Corolla SE Apex Edition with the stick. The 169 horsepower engine is paired with a sport-tuned exhaust on both CVT and manual transmission variants.
Appearance
The apex edition visually looks more up to date with the type of vehicles being produced in 2021. Toyota offers the Corolla Apex edition in two colour options: Cement and Super White with a black roof and single-tone Black Sand Pearl. It comes with a custom body kit installed which gives a more aggressive impression and sportier too. The front and rear spoiler and bronze accents throughout make the vehicle stand out in its category. If we look closely, there are also copper accents found on the front end of the car.
2020 Corolla Apex Edition is equipped with classy-looking black-finished 18-inch wheels. Toyota has tried to make this vehicle stiffer in order to improve cornering. As the new suspension is track-tuned, users will experience improved manoeuvrability. Body roll is also decreased through solid stabilizer bars with higher rigidity. The sedan for the purpose of matching its sportier outlook and usability is 0.6-inch lower to the ground. Unique coil springs with internal rebound shocks make this possible.
