For the first time ever, Toyota is introducing a mid-size SUV in India with the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. In collaboration with Maruti Suzuki, which is releasing a sister model later this month, the Hyryder has been designed and built. For the first time in this segment, the Hyryder has a strong-hybrid engine option that allows it to run on pure electric power. Also, it’s the first SUV in its class to have an all-wheel-drive system on board.
Before the Urban Cruiser Hyryder goes on sale next month, Toyota has revealed all of the vehicle’s available options and features in one place. As an example, consider the following.
For the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, a variety of trim levels are on the way, including E, S, G, and V.
The top three models have a powerful hybrid powertrain. Features include a panoramic sunroof and heated and cooled seats.
The Urban Cruiser Hyryder will be available in four different trim levels from Toyota: E, S, G, and V. Engines with mild hybrid technology are optional, but the 103 hp, 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine is included as standard equipment on all models. Toyota’s 1.5-liter TNGA Atkinson Cycle petrol engine, which produces 115 horsepower, will be available on the Hyryder’s S, G, and V trim levels.
