Sources claim that IMC will release the 1.6L Altis with a 7-speed CVT transmission. The vehicle was formerly only offered with a CVT in 1.8L Altis models, as opposed to a manual and automatic (4-speed torque converter) transmission. Although there isn’t much information available right now, it’s unclear whether IMC will drop the automatic version of the lineup or add the new CVT version.

Although the pricing has not been officially announced, it is anticipated to increase to reflect the new variety. Priced at PKR 45.69 lakh for manual, PKR 47.89 lac for automatic, and PKR 52.79 lac for the AT up-spec models, the Corolla 1.6L variants are already available.

In Pakistan, the current Corolla generation debuted in 2014, and it is now in its ninth year of manufacturing. Considering that the 12th generation Toyota Corolla, which made its debut in November 2018, is now more than 3 years old and has begun to receive a facelift in international markets, Pakistan is presently the only market in the world where the 11th generation Toyota Corolla is still being built. How long IMC will continue to sell this model of Corolla in Pakistan is still unknown. A new variation, though, might imply that it is here to stay.
