Turkish actor thanks PM Imran Khan for sharing the teachings of Ibn Arabi

Earlier this week, Khan shared a deep insightful video on the understanding of famous Muslim Sufi and philosopher, Ibn Arabi on his Instagram account on Sunday.

Turkish actor Osman Soykut has thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for sharing the teachings of famous Muslim scholar and Sufi, Ibn Arabi on Friday. Soykut had played the character of Ibn Arabi in the popular Turkish series, Dirilis Ertugrul.

“Thank you, Imran Khan @imrankhan.pti and @dahlenbror for promoting the wonderful teachings of Muhyiddin Ibn Arabi,” said Soykut on his Instagram account.

Earlier this week, Khan shared a deep insightful video on the understanding of famous Muslim Sufi and philosopher, Ibn Arabi on his Instagram account on Sunday.

The caption of the video read, “For those interested in Sufism and the genius of Ibn-E-Arabi should take out time, sit alone and listen to this commentary by @dahlenbror.” The video is a commentary by a researcher, Filip Holm, who runs a channel with the name, ‘Let’s Talk Religion’.

The video talks about the spiritual mastery of Ibn Arabi and his profound knowledge of various subjects in life. Holm says Ibn Arabi was blessed with divine gifts and experiences of spiritual illumination.

Ibn Arabi was an Arab Andalusian Muslim scholar, poet, mystic, philosopher, and an influential within Islamic thought. He studied Islamic sciences with numerous teachers in North Africa and Andalus. He extensively traveled in his life in the region of Iraq and Anatolia, finally settling down in Damascus in 1223. He trained his disciples and wrote prolifically until his death in November 1240.

A general interest in the life and works of Ibn Arabi spiked again following the broadcast of popular historic popular Turkish series, Dirilis Ertugrul, featuring the character of Ibn Arabi.

Earlier, influenced by the character of Ibn Arabi, a 60-year-old American woman embraced Islam after watching the popular Turkish series, Dirilis Ertugrul. The lady resides in Wisconsin and chose to name herself, Khadija after embracing Islam.

The series was broadcasted in Pakistan following the recommendation of Prime Minister Imran Khan to teach the youth of Pakistan about religious values and history.
