Turkish military band, also known as the Janissary Mehter band, performed the iconic national song, Dil Dil Pakistan, on Thursday at the Pakistan Day parade in Islamabad.
The Turkish band paid a heartwarming tribute to late singer Junaid Jamshed and the people of Pakistan. Turkish Mehter band played several songs in the parade today, however, Dil Dil Pakistan received massive appreciation on social media. The band also played the theme music of the popular Turkish series, Dirilis Ertugrul, in the parade today.

The series has made unprecedented popularity records soon after its broadcast in Pakistan last year.

This year, the Turkish military has proactively participated in the Pakistan Day Parade in a bid to strengthen the brotherly relations between Pakistan and Turkey.

Similarly, important landmarks in Turkey were lit with the Pakistani flag on 23rd March Pakistan Resolution Day as a heartwarming gesture.
Historic Fatih Sultan Mehmet and Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridges on Bosphorus in Istanbul, Turkey linking Asia with Europe also turned green and white reflecting the colors of the Pakistani flag on 23rd March 2021. Pakistani Embassy in Turkey shared captivating images of the bridge on Twitter.
On 22nd March, Atakule Tower, Ankara’s tallest landmark in Turkey displayed the Pakistani flag in commemoration of 23rd March Pakistan Resolution Day. The landmark lit with the Pakistani flag in a gesture of love and appreciation for Pakistan from a brotherly country, Turkey.

Solo Turk, the special aerobatics team of the Turkish air force will be participating in this year’s Pakistan Day parade rescheduled for 25th March 2021.
The team reached Pakistan a few days ago and has been rehearsing with the Pakistani Sherdil team. Ministry of National Defence regarding the participation of the solo Turk in the Pakistan Day Parade.
Moreover, troops from Palestine, Iraq, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and others also participated in today’s Pakistan Day parade.
