British PM Boris Johnson and fiancee Carrie Symonds announced the birth of a baby boy. The couple’s spokesman said both baby and mother are doing well.
The birth of a baby boy came as a surprise as Carrie Symonds was due in Summer. The couple had announced their engagement in February. Adding that they will soon marry. Carrie Symonds is the first unmarried partner of Boris Johnson. But Boris Johnson did not expect baby to arrive soon.
She is a former government advisor. Symond is 32 and was a former official in the Conservative Party. She is also an influential person in Westminster.

Carrie Symonds met Boris Johnson when he was still married to his second wife, Marina Wheeler. He has four children from his second marriage. Boris Johnson had a series of affairs with women. He had refused to confirm how many children he has during last year’s general election campaign.
The spokesman said, “The Prime Minister and Ms Symonds are thrilled to announce the birth of a healthy baby boy at a London hospital earlier this morning.”

Boris Johnson stayed with Carrie Symonds throughout the birth. It is unclear now if Boris Johnson will go on paternity leaves.
Carrie Symonds live with Boris Johnson at Number 11 Downing Street. The news of the birth of a baby boy came two hours before the weekly session.
Meanwhile, Boris Johnson has recently recovered from coronavirus. After spending weeks in St Thomas Hospital, he returned to work on Monday. Carrie Symonds self-isolated herself in Camberwell, South London after she developed symptoms. Symonds shared the scans of the baby with PM Boris Johnson while he was ill.

The couple spent the past few weeks in stress as both developed symptoms of coronavirus. Tension mounted for the couple when Boris Johnson’s health worsened due to coronavirus. Boris Johnson spent days in ICU before his condition stabilized.

Father Stanley Johnson says, he was delighted and thrilled with the birth by the birth of a grandson.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock posted on Twitter: “So thrilled for Boris and Carrie. Wonderful to have a moment of unalloyed joy!.”
Chancellor Rishi Sunak tweeted: “Great to hear Downing Street is getting a new resident. Congratulations to @BorisJohnson and @carriesymonds on the birth of their son.”

Justin Welby, the archbishop of Canterbury, said: “Congratulations and prayers for Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds as they welcome their son into the world. Wishing them every blessing and happiness.”
Dominic Raab, the first secretary of state and foreign minister will represent Boris Johnson in the weekly sessions today.
