Umar Sharif receives US visa, thanks PM Khan for cooperation

Federal government and Sindh government are usually at odds with each other. However, Umar Sharif's frail condition united the two. While the Federal government coordinated with the US embassy for visas, the Sindh government released funds for the treatment.

On account of his ailing condition, legendary comedian Umar Sharif and his family, have received visas for the United States.

Umar Sharif’s deteriorating health shocked the nation. A video clip of Umar Sharif went viral appealing to the government of Pakistan and PM Khan to facilitate his travel to the USA for treatment.

According to doctors, Umar Sharif needs urgent treatment in 15 to 20 days and his treatment is possible in three countries only, United States, Germany, and Saudi Arabia.

Therefore, he personally appealed to PM Khan to take notice of his health.

On this note, Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) Shahbaz Gill revealed today that Umar Sharif and his family received US visas.

“Update: Omar Sharif and his family have been issued US visa issues. He will soon leave for the United States for treatment. His family thanked the Prime Minister of Pakistan for his cooperation in all these processes. The Prime Minister prays that Allah Almighty heals Omar Sharif soon,” Dr. Shahbaz Gill tweeted.

Since Umar Sharif is an icon for all Pakistanis, the government took special measures and speeded up the visa process. On an urgent basis, the government sent Umar Sharif’s details to the US embassy.

Moreover, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry inquired after the health of renowned actor Umar Sharif in a private hospital.

They assured complete cooperation in the treatment of Umar Sharif.

Sindh govt releases funds for Umer Sharif’s treatment

The Federal government and Sindh government are usually at odds with each other. However, Umar Sharif’s frail condition united the two governments.

While the Federal government made the travel arrangements, the Sindh government released funds for the treatment of celebrated veteran comedian and actor Umer Sharif.

According to reports, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah sanctioned Rs40 million for Umar Sharif’s treatment.

Sindh government sanctioned the amount under “Sindh Relief Measures and Discretionary Grants,” a budgetary provision, given away by the chief minister’s directives during the current financial year.

Now that the visas have been issued, a special air ambulance will fly Umar Sharif to the US.
