Understanding Modi’s strategy of tackling Taliban’s governance

Calling India a “spoiler” in Afghanistan, Pakistan’s National Security Advisor Moeed Yusuf said he would not accept the Modi government’s invitation to the meeting of regional security chiefs being organized in Delhi next week. The NSA regretted the international community's silence over human rights violations and Indian state-sponsored terrorism in occupied Kashmir, and New Delhi's expansionist vision which was leading the region nowhere

One who is a spoiler cannot become a peacemaker. That is what Moeed Yusuf said while firmly rejecting out PM Narendra Modi’s invitation for a meeting for discussing the situation in the aftermath of Talibans’ take-over of Afghanistan. Yusuf replied that he would not go, he would not go! This emphatic rejection of NSA needs a clear understanding of what has been the experience of Pakistan in dealing with India that is the cause. Of all the issues it is the dossiers that Pakistan had sent to the Indian government to study.

Yusuf is basically a learned man and relies on the hard study that is necessary to undertake and bring out the core matter for taking governmental action. The core of a problem is the heart of the matter that is to be understood and accepted and then dealt with.

Why have India and Pakistan not allowed détente to ease the arms race?

NSA Yusuf has recently mentioned about two dossiers Pakistan has sent to India, the gravamina are many and among them are terrorism, the hegemony of India, legacy, the Kashmir issue, humanitarian help to Taliban, India’s first airbase in Tajikistan, India is a contestant on China building passage to Gawadar port, etc. Are Indian trucks laden with wheat meant for Afghan refugees, why are they stuck at the borders when food is the top requirement for the refugees in Afghanistan as well as Pakistan? Why this stalemate at this juncture? Even more difficult is scrapping Article 370 etc.

The persecution of those who cheered Pakistan for victory and violence that followed. There is an election in UP and “the divider in chief” has a rugged fixed pattern to repeat victory on the same pattern. In the 2002 election CM, Narendra Modi had invoked Pakistan so blatantly that President Pervez Musharraf took the matter of genocide to the UNO General Assembly. So, blaming Pakistan yields rich dividends. More serious than that is the election in UP. If Yogi Adityanath wins Modi will win in the next general election. Divide and rule is the design. There will be more violence and disturbances in the country. So, the conclusion is who is the spoiler? Therefore, the spoiler cannot be the peacemaker.

The last time India won the final against Pakistan it was nearly 30 years ago. It was the summertime. It was in the midst of May. RSS devoted worker Puntambekar stood in front of the Jama masjid of Malegaon. Milind Kulkarni went to the urinal section and burst crackers which disturbed the special long prayer in the night. This kind of celebration led to rioting in Malegaon.

The same Indori module also bombed the Samjhauta express!

In such a trying situation the whole town was under curfew. Even in such a torturous time the lady police enforcing the curfew went into labyrinthine of houses and shops and broke earthen pots which were filled with water! Malegaon went through tribulation like two bomb attacks in 2006 and 2008 as well! The place was chosen by Swami Aseemanand and the Sunil Joshi module was responsible.

The Swami was established in Sabridham where Pragya Singh Thakur, Lieutenant colonel Purohit went to hold meetings. Purohit also gave RDX stolen from the army stock for an attack on Samjhauta express. This kind of intervention by the RSS is harmful to the national integrity that is the crying need of the hour. When will the people realize who wants to break the nation! Can they be peacemakers?

In the dossiers, NSA Yusuf had referred that the man responsible for the attack on military school Rawalpindi who was treated in an Indian hospital for serious injuries. How come this? The second dossier is about the bombing of the house of Hafiz Saeed earlier this year. Elsewhere in my other papers, I have quoted Nirupama Rao (nee’ Menon) who was also a student in the department of English at Marathwada University at Aurangabad. In fact, she would be a match to Yusuf!
