Usman Buzdar says Punjab is ‘role model’ for investment, promises new developments

Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar has said that Punjab has become a role model for investments, talking to FIEDMC Head Mian Kashif he ensured that the industrial projects were well underway

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said that the government has made Punjab a role model in terms of investment.

According to media reports, Chairman Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development & Management Company (FIEDMC), Mian Kashif, called on Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and discussed ways to facilitate business.

Allama Iqbal Industrial City would be accelerated

On the occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that the development work of Allama Iqbal Industrial city would be further accelerated and provide a one-window facility to domestic and foreign companies in the industrial zone.

M3 Industrial City and Allama Iqbal Industrial City are connected with M4 Motorway Sahiyanwala Interchange.

M3 Industrial City has been fully sold where besides Pakistan there have been investments from many countries including China, UK, Saudi Arabia, Korea, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and France.

A university may be set up to provide technical education

According to Mian Kashif, several countries have completed their plants in M3 Industrial City and are selling their products all over the world, including Pakistan, which is reducing Pakistan’s import bill and increasing exports.

Mian Kashif Ashfaq, Chairman Faisalabad industrial estate development and management company(FIEDMC), believes that CPEC is a great opportunity for Pakistan’s development, But it requires specialized labour specifically in technical and STEM fields.

For technical education and expertise, they want to set up a technical university in the area adjacent to Allama Iqbal Industrial City and M3 Industrial City, managed by FIEDMC, in which civil technology, mechanical technology, food processing technology, information technology, computer education will be given.

Automobile, Auto Diesel, Electrical Technology, Industrial Management and Chinese Language are also expected to be taught there.

Allama Iqbal Industrial City, which covers an area of 3300 acres, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Imran Khan this year and is considered a very successful project.

Punjab to prioritize solving the problems of investors on a priority basis

CM Usman Buzdar also said that the Punjab government would solve the problems of investors on a priority basis. Foreign investors have shown keen interest in Allama Iqbal Industrial City.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said that the government has made Punjab a role model in terms of investment.

He also added that special funds will be provided for public welfare projects in Toba Tek Singh.

Chairman Faisalabad Industrial Estates Development and Management Company briefed the Punjab Chief Minister and appreciated the positive trend and development work of the industrial sector.
