“After giving exemplary development to Sindh, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah decided to make his wife a driving license in a third-class country, Canada. If Sindh had been developed, then the feudal lord would not have stood like paupers at the counter. The license would have been sent to his home,” journalist Imran Afzal Raja said.

Pakistani politics heavily promotes VIP culture as politicians enjoy an incredibly lavish lifestyle which they are accused of achieving through corrupt practices. The politicians move with big fat convoys where staff and security men follow them around and even get special treatment at several public offices.
Therefore, seeing notable political figures in Western countries accepting being treated like the common man and abiding by the law, triggers sharp criticism for the double standards.
