Video surfaces of Sadaf Naeem running after container moments before tragic death

The heart-wrenching video is going viral on social media as the nation mourns the loss of the reporter. 

A video showing the last moments of reporter Sadaf Naeem before her heart-wrenching death has emerged and is going viral on social media.

Earlier, Sadaf Naeem, a journalist working for a private news channel, Sunday died after being crushed under PTI’s container while its long march was headed toward Kamoke from GT Road Lahore.

According to rescue officials, the reporter slipped and fell under Imran Khan’s container while she was climbing down the one she was standing on already.

A video has emerged which shows Sadaf Naeem running after the container to get on top of it. The video shows Sadaf Naeem running along the container amid heavy traffic. The heart-wrenching video is going viral on social media as the nation mourns the loss of the reporter.

Soon after Sadaf Naeem’s death, PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan announced halting the march for the day. He also sent his condolences to the family of the deceased and said that he would pray for the departed soul.

“Shocked and deeply saddened by the terrible accident that led to the death of Channel 5 reporter Sadaf Naeem during our March today. I have no words to express my sorrow. My prayers and condolences go to the family at this tragic time,” Imran Khan said on Twitter.

Financial assistance for Sadaf Naeem’s family

The manner of Sadaf Naeem’s death has caused shock waves across the nation. Condolences are pouring in as politicians, journalists and the public express sorrow over the loss of Sadaf Naeem.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed regret over the death, saying that he was “deeply saddened” by the incident. Extending his condolences to her family, PM Shehbaz praised Naeem as a “dynamic and hardworking reporter”.

The prime minister announced Rs5 million financial aid for her family and ordered authorities to immediately complete the regulation process and hand over the amount to her family.

Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi lauded the deceased and extended his condolences to her family. Furthermore, the chief minister announced financial assistance worth Rs2.5 million for her family. “The Punjab government will take full care of the family,” he tweeted.
