Warner Bros has announced a collaboration with Jinjiang International to develop a “Harry Potter Studio Tour” in Shanghai, as revealed by Jinjiang on Wednesday.
The proposed attraction will provide visitors with a behind-the-scenes experience of the Harry Potter films and recreate iconic scenes from the series.

It will span over 53,000 square meters and will be operated by Jinjiang and is expected to open in 2027, pending regulatory approval.
This will be Warner Bros’ third “Harry Potter Studio Tour” globally, following locations in London and Tokyo.
The Harry Potter franchise enjoys immense popularity in China, where foreign films account for a limited portion of the box office due to strict quotas and a focus on local content.
A Universal Studios theme park in Beijing includes “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter,” featuring themed rides and attractions.

Last year, all eight Harry Potter films were also re-released in Chinese cinemas.
