A video of Former Prime Minister Imran Khan offering prayer mid-air in the helicopter goes viral on social media on Friday.
Imran Khan was headed to Peshawar to address students at Edwardes College. The video showed Imran Khan seated beside the pilot of the helicopter and offered prayer. The video also captured the magnificent landscape en route to Peshawar.
The video garnered mixed responses on social media. Some praised Imran Khan for his commitment to his faith while others condemned him for using religion for his political mileage.
The video also triggered a theological debate around offering prayer during travel. Muslims are instructed to offer prayer while standing in the direction of the Holy Kaabah. The debate was triggered around how to determine the direction of Holy Kaabah midair. Nevertheless, the video garnered massive views on social media.

PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan are currently on a mission to mobilize the Pakistani nation ahead of the general elections next year. After holding successful rallies across the country, Imran Khan has decided to directly address the youth of Pakistan by visiting them.

Interestingly, Imran Khan’s visit to educational institutes at the peak of his political campaign is garnering mixed reactions. While many Pakistanis express their elation at the country’s current most popular leader personally visiting students, many have also voiced their criticism as they believe that educational institutes should be apolitical.
Pertinent to mention that political leaders have visited educational institutions in the past. Therefore, there are calls that PPP and PML-N leaders – who are PTI’s political rivals – should also be invited to educational institutes. Furthermore, Imran Khan’s visit to Edwardes college comes amid the backdrop of the recent Government College University (GCU) in Lahore. To clarify, GCU hosted Imran Khan as a special guest for an event titled “Taleem Aur Hunar Sath Sath”.
