Minister of Defence Pakistan, Khawaja Asif was harassed, heckled and threatened with a ‘knife attack’ in London. Video of the minister being heckled by another passenger in a ground station in London has gone viral on social media.
The video showed an unidentified man filmed him in train, and when he got off, the person followed him and hurled profanities at him, also threatening him a ‘knife attack. Video has gone viral on social media and has garnered mixed reactions on social media.
Khawaja Asif is currently in London and is scheduled to address students at Oxford University in the coming days. He is present in London along with other senior leadership of PMLN including Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz.
According to the sources, the incident occured on Tuesday near Heathrow Airport. Meanwhile, the government has reportedly taken notice of the incident, instructing the Pakistan High Commission in London to contact British Transport police. “It’s a serious incident and must be investigated.”
This is not the first time any Pakistani politician, particularly from PMLN, or any government official has been heckled in London. Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz have been heckled by overseas Pakistanis several time in London, whereas protests are organized outside his residence in London frequently.

Earlier, a video of former Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa hiding in the car while leaving the Middle Temple has gone viral on social media.
He hid in the car to avoid the charged protestors protesting against him outside the Middle Temple, where the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple invited him for an honorary dinner. Videos circulating on social media showed former Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa and his wife Serena Esa bent down to avoid facing the protestors as their car left the venue.
The protest was organized by overseas supporters, party workers, and Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf (PTI) followers. Qazi Faez Isa retired as the chief justice of Pakistan in the last days of October. Soon after retirement, he left Pakistan for London. As per media reports, he will live in London following his retirement.
