According to reports, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan could not enter the Punjab Assembly for the oath-taking ceremony of Ahsan Saleem. Punjab Assembly’s security staff barred her from entering.
Firdous Ashiq Awan frequents the Punjab Assembly and arrived today as per usual. However, when she reached the main gates of the Punjab Assembly, the security staff stopped her. The staff said she could not enter as her name was not on the guest list.
While talking to the media over the issue, Punjab Assembly Secretariat said her name was initially on the list. However, it was later removed.

As per media sources, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan will initiate an inquiry against the person who removed her name from the list.
Firdous Ashiq Awan resigns as special assistant to Punjab CM
Recently, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan resigned as special assistant to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on the information. She resigned after serving for less than a year at the capacity.
Last month, Awan submitted her resignation to PM Khan for the first time. She did so in order to run the PTI’s by-election campaign in Sialkot but later withdrew her resignation on the instructions of PM Khan.
“The premier has stopped me from resigning from my office and asked me to continue work to highlight the achievements of the Punjab government,” she told a news conference.

However, she recently once again submitted her resignation, and this time, directly to CM Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, who duly accepted the resignation.
“Chief Minister is pleased to accept the enclosed resignation tendered by Ms. Firdous Ashiq Awan from the office of Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information,” a statement issued by CM Punjab’s Office read.
