WATCH: Singer KK performs ‘Pal’ hours before his death

KK started his career in Bollywood in 1999. In early 2000, he became a playback and recorded a wide range of popular songs for A-list Bollywood celebrities including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, and others.

Famous Bollywood singer Krishnakumar Kannath known as KK performed his famous song Pal in concert hours before his death due to a sudden heart attack.

KK was a top-notch playback singer of Bollywood. The singer has some blockbuster record-hit songs under his belt.

A video of his last performance singing the song has been shared on social media. The audience waved their mobile phone as he performed the song. The song belongs to his critically acclaimed album Pal released in 1999.  In other videos shared online, the singer was heard singing his famous song, ‘Kiya Mujhay Pyaar Hai’.

His last Instagram post was on his concert in Kolkata. In the post, he said: “Pulsating gig tonight at Nazrul Mancha. Vivekananda College !! Love you all.” The singer also added face-throwing-kiss emoji for his fans.

The news of his passing away has sent shockwaves in India and cross-border Pakistan. His fans in Pakistan expressed grief and remorse over his death.

Meanwhile, condolences poured in India from the Bollywood fraternity and politicians.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a rich tribute to KK in his tweet. “Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions and struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti,” Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted.

Mohit Chauhan, a renowned Bollywood singer, said: “KK… not fair man. Not your time to go. This was the last time we were together to announce a tour together. How can you just go??? In shock. In grief. Ear dear friend, a brother is gone. RIP KK. Love you.”
