The forensic team was unable to recover deleted data from the mobile phone of the prime suspect, however, the rest of the audios and videos obtained are undergoing inspection by the case’s investigation team.

Forensic experts have failed to recover the deleted data from the phone of the main suspect Naveed involved in the attack on PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan during his long march in Wazirabad.

According to the details of the forensic report, the suspect was using the SIMs of two telecom companies meanwhile 138 contact numbers had been recovered from his phone. The forensic team has found the record of 1,869 calls, 337 messages, 212 videos, and 1,956 photos from the device.

One person was killed. The prime suspect Naveed was arrested and a video statement of his confession was later released.

Earlier in the day, Mian Dawood, the lawyer of the prime suspect Naveed Bashir in the Wazirabad attack, in which PTI chief Imran Khan was injured claimed that the incident was ‘planted’ by his own party PTI.

“Wazirabad incident was planned and has nothing to do with the reality,” Mian Dawood alleged while addressing a press conference in Lahore.

During the presser, the counsel said the JIT did not investigate the matter on merit and they deny accepting its report. The statements of the policemen were also neglected by the JIT in the Wazirabad attack, Mian Dawood said.
