A joint session in Parliament held today has been discussing the situation developed due to increased tension between Pakistan and India. Prime Minister Imran Khan stressing upon the destructions wars cause said, “escalation is not in our interest neither of India.”
“The only purpose of our strike was to demonstrate our capability and will,” said PM Khan while addressing the House. “We did not want to inflict any casualty on India as we wanted to act in a responsible manner.”

Announcing that Indian Airforce pilot–who was arrested tomorrow as Pakistan Air Force aircraft shot down Indian jet–will be freed tomorrow, PM Khan said, “In our desire for peace, I announce that tomorrow, and as a first step to open negotiations, Pakistan will be releasing the Indian Air Force officer in our custody,” PM Khan said.
The peace gesture garnered unanimous support in the parliament.
