Bitter words were exchanged between Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gil and Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan Khurram Dastgir Khan at a talk shown hosted by journalist Moeed Pirzada on Monday.
The argument heightened when Gil mentioned Dastgir’s alleged illegal petrol pump. In response, Dastgir attacked his counterpart’s character and claimed that Gil was accused of sexually harassing women at a university.
Gil took up a defense and contested that he did not speak about the character and personality of anyone at all. Yet, he said he was prepared to debate the matter of character with Dastgir because sexual harassment was something he and his father were all too familiar with.
Gul said: “Sexual harassment starts at your own home! If I talk about personalities, then cases of sexual harassment will come out of the houses of you and your leaders. I have talked about your petrol pump, I have not talked about anything personal.”

Gul added that he knew when and where the marriage of his father took place. He questioned when the children were born as well. He continued: “If you talk about personalities, I will also take off the clothes of your father who used to do politics.” Dastgir was infuriated and requested Gil to stop with the personal attacks.
“Should I reveal the actions of yourself and your father?” Gil threatened. Despite Dastgir’s repeated demands, Gul proceeded to narrate the incident. 92 News, however, left all audio on mute altogether, and this triggered the public.
The public wants to know
Per the news channel, social media users are now curious to know more; what is the story of Khuraam Dastgir’s father after all? In their comments section, Pakistanis seem infuriated and demanded justice for the late Fatima Jinnah. Others insisted on banning Dastgir from politics altogether; “This makes me so upset. Khuram Dastigir should be banned forever from politics. Disgusting.”
Siasat News claims that this is the incident of Ayub Khan’s presidential election when Fatima Jinnah was campaigning against Ayub Khan. Details of the story were also shared by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and Haroon Rashid.

The news website disclosed how according to Qadri and Rashid, the episode occurred when Ayub Khan was in the process of conducting the presidential election. “Dastgir’s father was supporting Khan. Fatima Jinnah’s election symbol was a lantern”.
According to Tahir-ul-Qadri, as provided by the publication, “Khurram Dastgir’s father put a lantern around the neck of an animal and kept moving her through the streets”.
Pakistani politician Farrukh Habib has also highlighted this very incident at a show where Dastgir himself was also present.
