Twenty-seven US psychiatrists from the top medical institutions of the country have written a book which assesses President Donald Trump’s mental health. The book titled “The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump ” is described by the authors as their civic duty to “warn” people of Trump’s behavior.
The group has deviated from the Goldwater Rule. Which was enacted by the American Psychiatric Association in 1973; it outlawed mental health professionals from diagnosing a public office holder without a formal proper clinical evaluation.

Trump has been in the limelight for his off the cuff theatrics; his tweets are often met with anguish and frustration and people take digs at his mental faculties. Many Americans are concerned that his references of “Rocketman”, “Fire and Fury” and other ramblings are pushing the country toward a war with the reclusive state of North Korea.

“Collectively with our coauthors, we warn that anyone as mentally unstable as Mr. Trump simply should not be entrusted with the life-and-death powers of the presidency,” Judith Lewis Herman of Harvard Medical School and Bandy X. Lee of the Yale School of Medicine write in the book’s prologue.

Given that the US is facing a potentially devastating nuclear crisis with North Korea where Trump has time and again shown his will to destroy the Kim regime, the book’s contention that the 71-year old must not be entrusted with life and death issues for the country has become all the more interesting.
