WhatsApp lets users forward messages directly to Meta AI

Currently, users must manually copy and paste messages or save media locally before sharing them with Meta AI.

In a move set to redefine user interaction with artificial intelligence, WhatsApp is developing a groundbreaking feature that will allow users to forward messages and media directly to Meta AI. The feature is designed to streamline the sharing process, eliminate unnecessary steps, and improve overall user convenience.

Simplifying the Sharing Process

Currently, users must manually copy and paste messages or save media locally before sharing them with Meta AI. This new functionality, accessible in the latest WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.26.8 via the Google Play Store, eliminates these steps. With just a simple forward action, users will be able to send content directly to Meta AI, making the interaction seamless and time-saving.

Adding Context for Personalized Responses

One of the most notable aspects of the feature is its ability to allow users to provide additional context to forwarded content. When forwarding a message or media to Meta AI, users can include specific questions or queries to guide the chatbot’s response. This input enables Meta AI to offer more precise, relevant, and personalized assistance.

For example, users forwarding a document or image can ask Meta AI to summarize its content or provide insights about it. If no additional input is provided, the chatbot will analyze the forwarded content as it stands, still ensuring an effective interaction.

Enhancing Media Sharing

The feature also simplifies the process of sharing multimedia content. Users no longer need to save images or videos to their devices before sending them to Meta AI. This forward-and-send capability reduces effort, speeds up communication, and optimizes storage usage.

Beta Testing and Availability

The feature is currently in development but is accessible for testing by beta users in the latest Android beta update. While no specific release date has been announced, the feature is expected to roll out in a future update for all WhatsApp users.
