Late legendary actor, Dilip Kumar, praised Prime Minister Imran Khan in an old video that resurfaced following his passing away on Wednesday, 7th July.
While Twitter in India and Pakistan brimmed with messages of heartfelt tributes and condolences, fans re-shared his old videos. One of them is of the late Bollywood actor praising PM Imran Khan. The video posted by PTI senator Faisal Javed Khan shows Dilip Kumar praising PM Imran Khan. At that time, PM Imran Khan was an international cricketer and had not taken up politics.
“I have never, in my whole career, seen one single individual, take up so much on himself and do it with such finesse, with such grace, and with such astounding success,” Kumar can be heard in the clip saying.
The video also shows PM Imran Khan, smiling as he heard Dilip Kumar praising him. “Blessed was the womb of the mother who bore such a beautiful and brave boy,” Kumar then says, pointing towards Khan. “A boy who has such lofty aspirations”.

Dilip Kumar called PM Imran Khan ‘a shining example’. At the end of the small video clip, Kumar said Pakistan is fortunate to have a man like Imran Khan among them. Adding that it was remarkable how he “batted and bowled his way” to superstardom.

“His Urdu and soft pronunciation were very impressive. Sharing his great words for Imran Khan,” PTI senator wrote in the caption of the video clip.
People in Peshawar thronged to his ancestral home as news of his passing away broke on media. His fans gathered at his home in the famous Qissa Khwani Bazaar. They offered his funeral prayers in absentia and fateha for the legendary actor. The fans lit candles in front of his portrait and inscribed them with rich tributes.
