Lucky Cement Limited’s subsidiary, Lucky Motor Corporation, has revealed in a financial report for 2021 that it produced 22,500 units of its vehicles in FY2021. The corporation’s total production capacity is 50,000 vehicles per anum.
This is a significant milestone for the organisation, given it has just been a little more than two years since it first opened its doors in Pakistan.

KIA Sportage is definitely a winner amongst others

According to reports, Lucky Motors (LMC) is planning to launch the Stonic and Peugeot 2008 in Pakistan. Both are subcompact crossover SUVs, however, the former will be marketed to the public, while the latter will be marketed as a premium vehicle for a niche market. Nonetheless, they are both expected to allow the company’s production and sales to rise significantly.

KIA becomes third best-selling car brand In Pakistan
KIA, the famous South-Korean automobile manufacturer and a new entrant in the Pakistani auto market, has done it. Not only did KIA come third in January 2021 car sales, but the car brand also outperformed Honda. Looks like the monopoly of Big 3 Japanese car brands (Suzuki, Toyota, and Honda) is falling. That’s big news for the local market.

Like other new entrants, KIA is not yet a Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association (PAMA) member. As a result, the PAMA car sales report charts do not include KIA sales. However, according to Topline Securities data, KIA sold more than 2,500 cars in January 2021. As per the PAMA report, Honda sold 2,450 cars during the same month.
