Sara Ali Khan is expected to play the daughter of the lead couple in the sequel of Hindi Medium. The sequel will fast-forward by a decade and will show the 5 five-year-old Pia, in her teenage hers. Her real-life mother Amrita Singh played the school principal in Hindi Medium.
Producer Dinesh Vanjan said they have finished the script and will begin focusing on the cast for the film. Vanjan said they are excited to have Sara Ali Khan on board for the sequel.
“Sara is one of the top contenders to play the daughter. I have just finished the script and I am going to get into casting now,” said Dinesh.

Irrfan Khan is expected to play his role as the father in the sequel; however, nothing was said regarding Pakistani starlet Saba Qamar reprising her role in Hindi Medium 2.
Earlier reports suggested that despite a convincing performance in her debut Bollywood movie that earned her a Filmfare Award nomination, Saba Qamar is unlikely to get the role in the second instalment of Hindi Medium.
It seems Sara Ali Khan will not play the leading role in her Bollywood debut. Hindi Medium 2 is expected to be Sara’s first Bollywood venture after the production of the film‘Kedarnath’, which was going to be her first movie, has been put off following the differences between the producer and the director of the movie.
Previously Sara Ali Khan was set to make her debut alongside ‘Kai Poo Che’ actor Sushant Singh Rajput in ‘Kedarnath’.

Directors like Karan Johar and Ashutosh Gawarikar contacted Sara Ali Khan but she turned down their offers. She has reportedly rejected seven scripts so far. According to another rumour, she was expected to make her debut with ‘Student of the Year 2′.
Sara has been in search of an impressive script since a year. It is anticipated that the script of ‘Hindi Medium 2′ will convince her.
