World Cup host Putin gives Trump football made in Pakistan

Russian President Vladimir Putin has gifted his American counterpart President Donald Trump a Football World Cup ball that was manufactured in Pakistan. President Donald Trump accepted the ball and threw it to his 12-year old son Baron.

President Donald Trump appreciated Russian Federation and President Vladimir Putin for the successful hosting of FIFA World Cup event that concluded on Sunday after an exciting match between Croatia and France. Pakistan remained the official football provider for FIFA World Cup. The official match ball of the FIFA World Cup Adidas Telstar 18, was produced in Sialkot, Pakistan.

Vladimir Putin said, “President Trump has just mentioned that we’ve successfully concluded the football World Cup.”

“Speaking of football, actually, Mr. President, I will give the ball to you and now the ball is in your court. All the more as the United States will host the World Cup in 2026.”

Earlier before the commencement of the FIFA World Cup, the Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Alexy Dedov in his statement informed Pakistan would be exporting the footballs for all the World Cup matches.

“Pakistan is one of the most renowned countries in the world in the manufacture of sports equipment,” Dedov was quoted as saying.

“We want to enhance our cooperation with Pakistan to other sectors as well,” he added.

The city of Sialkot is the center for the production of quality sports goods. Footballs manufactured in Pakistan are being imported for the FIFA World Cup event for many years.

There are thriving businesses in Sialkot and many manufacturers have their contracts signed with international brand Adidas. One manufacturer has reportedly manufactured 700,000 footballs in a month for the extravagant Football event.

The focus, however, has now been shifted from Russia to Qatar. Since Qatar will be the first Arab country to host a FIFA World Cup event in 2022.
