‘Yes, PMLN’s generations will serve Pakistan’, Maryam Nawaz

"Nobody knows about your future or past," Maryam Nawaz to Imran Khan.

PMLN Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif says the family’s generations will serve Pakistan. Her statement came in response to the criticism of PTI leader Imran Khan who said both parties are running through dynastic politics. In many of his public speeches, former Prime Minister Imran Khan has said both PPP and PMLN have captured Pakistan through dynastic politics.

Khan says that both the families are preparing their future generations to enter politics to maintain their control of Pakistan and its institutions. Maryam Nawaz is the daughter of three-time former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and Bilawal Bhutto is the son of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and former President Asif Ali Zardari.

Maryam Nawaz has taken the leading position in the PMLN after Nawaz Sharif. On the other hand, Shehbaz Sharif, brother of Nawaz Sharif, is the serving premier of Pakistan. Meanwhile, his son Hamza Shehbaz is the Chief Minister of Punjab.

Responding to his criticism, Maryam Nawaz said that indeed they are preparing the next generation. Adding those generations of PMLN will serve Pakistan. She took a personal dig at Imran Khan calling him out for the absence of his family in politics.

She said that the future and past of Imran Khan are uncertain. Maryam Nawaz passed these statements while addressing a public rally during the election campaign ahead of Punjab by-elections.

Maryam Nawaz is receiving flak on social media for endorsing dynastic politics in Pakistan. Netizens say that she admitted that her family has captured Pakistan, defying the rules of democracy.

“A simple question arises in the minds of the people of Pakistan. Can any judge, general, legislator, or servant of Allah tell me how long bail has been given to this disrespectful woman under which law? Not only that but she is running a regular election campaign No problem,” said a Twitter user while commenting on her statements in a viral video.
