You Can Come Out On Streets & Do Whatever, There’ll Be No NRO: Imran Khan Fights Back

Prime Minister Imran Khan has made it clear that there shall be no deal for those who have looted money from Pakistan. But some sources claim the deal has already been signed.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has once again clarified that there shall be no NRO for any ‘corrupt leader’ who has looted the money of Pakistani nation. According to details, PM Imran chaired a meeting of parliamentary party of PTI and its allies. PM told the meeting that our stance is clear that no one would get NRO. Earlier there were rumours that the government has signed a deal with the opposition and corruption cases against all the arrested politicians shall soon be cancelled.

Maulana Fazalur Rehman is staging a protest in the federal capital to demand the resignation of the premier. The JUI-F’s chief has made it clear that he will not accept anything lower than the resignation of the premier.

However, the meeting rejected the demand of PM Imran’s resignation by opposition parties and said opposition must not consider their tolerance as weakness. The meeting said no unconstitutional act would be accepted. PM Imran while addressing the meeting said opposition wants anarchy in the country but we must promote the government’s stance. He said the opposition has no agenda, however, the government is tolerating them.

He further said that opposition would not be allowed to derail the progress and we will face them in the political arena. The parliamentary party showed full confidence in PM and assured him full support.

PM Khan further said that the corrupt leaders in the country are seeking for an NRO which is only a daydream. “I want to give them a message: ‘open your ears and hear this: you can come out on the streets. We will give you containers and give you food. You can do whatever you want in the assemblies… [But] no one will get an NRO’.”

The government believes that since the NAB is working independently, it is threatening the system developed by such ‘criminals’. It has also made it clear that there is zero tolerance on the matters related to corruption and misuse of authority.

Interestingly, Prime Minister Imran Khan made it clear during his maiden speech to the nation that whenever powerful and corrupt people will be brought before the law there will be propaganda against the government. A narrative will also be established as if the democracy was under threat, he added.

Interestingly, in the present situation, PPP, PML-N, ANP and other ethno-nationalist political parties have joined the protest led by Maulana against the PTI’s government.

The JUI-F’s chief is repeatedly using religious card against his political rivals and nobody condemned him.

“I was amused to see the reaction of Pakistani liberals,” said Professor G.M Pitafi of University of Management and Technology. He further said that Maulana was using the religious card and both PPP and PML-N did not utter a single word. “PPP has been exposed. It has confirmed one thing to us; all is fair in politics. The same party was using Sindhi card and now standing by someone who is critical of religious minorities in the country,” he said.

Some sources claim that the opposition has signed a deal with the establishment and soon former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, former President Asif Ali Zardari and others shall leave for London under the pretext of medical grounds. If it happens then the idea that Pakistan’s criminal justice system cannot punish the powerful shall become far more powerful and a concrete reality backed by some facts on the ground.
