Young man goes viral after he confronts VIP convoy over traffic violation in Lahore

A young man in Lahore confronted a VIP convoy for running a red light, refusing to back down despite security pressure. The viral incident reignited public outrage over unchecked VIP culture and reckless road behavior.

A young man took a stand against VIP culture on Thursday when a high-end SUV, part of an official convoy, ran a red light and nearly caused an accident in the city’s busy Gulberg area. The incident, caught on camera by bystanders, quickly went viral on social media, reigniting the debate over reckless behavior by privileged individuals on the roads.

Eyewitnesses reported that the convoy, consisting of multiple black-tinted vehicles, forced its way through traffic despite clear red signals. Ahsan Raza, a 24-year-old motorcyclist, narrowly avoided a collision and decided to confront the drivers. “Why do these VIPs think they own the roads?” he shouted, standing firm in front of the convoy.

The confrontation quickly escalated when security personnel stepped out and tried to push him aside. However, Raza refused to move, arguing that ordinary citizens had the same right to use the roads safely. Frustrated commuters honked in support, while bystanders recorded the exchange.

“It’s the same everywhere,” said an elderly shopkeeper witnessing the scene. “First in Islamabad, now here—young people are fed up with this arrogance.”

Police arrived at the scene but reportedly did not take any action against the convoy. Social media erupted with outrage, with many calling for stricter enforcement against VIP protocol abuses. “This needs to stop. No one is above the law,” one user tweeted.
